Hi, I'm Ashley a versatile Editor, Post Production Supervisor, Director & Sound Designer with over 20 years experience. My work spans from traditional broadcast TV and film credits to highly acclaimed, award-winning social media campaigns & podcasts.
After cutting my teeth in traditional TV, working on a number of documentary and prime-time fact-ent programmes for Channel 4 & the BBC, I went on to freelance for numerous production companies and creative agencies, eventually co-founding and running my own production company. In recent years, I have held several senior positions at the BBC, lead editing, post-prod supervising and helping to recruit and lead a team of young editors and social-first producers. I was responsible for designing and managing complex post-production workflows, overseeing QC processes and delivering content for broadcast. I also helped to relaunch a popular BBC TV channel.
I love bringing creative ideas to life, combining narrative storytelling, humour, rhythm and emotion. This allows me to deliver polished, on-brand edits that resonate with audiences and make people laugh (or cry) when they’re supposed to.
My other passions are sound design and music production. I love the craft of shaping sound, field recording and creating original foley. I have also have written original music for many projects.
I’m now open to new opportunities, collaborations and creative challenges.
